My Background

My background spans product design, education, and customer experience, giving me a holistic understanding of how people learn, navigate systems, and solve problems. This range isn’t a detour; it’s the foundation of how I design. I approach every project with clarity, empathy, and systems thinking.

At Slack, I’ve worked across both Customer Experience and Product Design. I partnered with engineers, PMs, and platform teams to design and improve key product experiences. I contributed to initiatives such as redesigning the App Marketplace, improving free-to-paid conversion flows, and building internal tools that support technical teams. Blending real user insights with platform-level design work has strengthened my ability to translate pain points into intuitive and scalable solutions.

Before transitioning into tech, I worked as an art and experiential education instructor at a project-based learning school. Designing hands-on curriculum helped me learn how to break down complex ideas, communicate clearly, and meet learners at their level. These skills now play a central role in my UX practice.

I also built and ran a small clothing business where I handled branding, product development, e-commerce, and marketing. That entrepreneurial experience taught me how to move quickly, iterate effectively, and keep users at the center of every decision.
